Engine Compression

How much compression should an old (not very).21 engine have??

I had my RB K9 for about 9 months and i've just been turning it over and it doesn't seem to have much compression. I can turn it over fairly easily using 2 fingers on the flywheel. I would have thought it should have been harder than that...?

I think i might have thrashed it to death already.... although it has had at least 10 Gallons of fuel run through it - probably more

Any Thoughts

Re: Engine Compression

a good test is ...

No fuel or after run with in the engine ( plug in )

hold the engine by the fly wheel and see if the engines own weight will take it past Top Dead Center if it rotates easy then yes its low on compression

Re: Engine Compression

You can also switch to a fuel with a higher oil content and lower nitro as it will help sealing between the piston liner and piston.
